A Few Things You Should Know About PCD Patient Plans

• PCD plans guarantee members to save 25% off standard fees for exams, x-rays, adjustments, and therapies with all participating PCD providers in America.
• PCD plans include a spouse and legal dependents up to the age of 26 at no additional charge. (Married children excluded.)
• PCD is a 365-day yearly plan, meaning it expires on the same day each year – not at the end of the calendar year.
• PCD is not insurance, and is void in conjunction with any third-party entity, or federal or state health insurance programs, including Workers’ Compensation.
• PCD plan members cannot file claims on services rendered at PCD rates.
• PCD plan members cannot apply visits billed at PCD rates toward an insurance deductible, and cannot attempt to use PCD as a secondary insurance.
• No credit check. Not based on income. No medical assessment required to join.

How it Works

Chiropractors have strict laws that regulate their fees for insured, Medicare, and even cash payments. As such, chiropractors generally charge a “standard rate” for all patients. Exceptions to the “standard rate” can be made when a cash-paying patient has a discount medical plan. Preferred Chiropractic Doctor is the plan we’ve chosen for our clinic because it’s the most beneficial plan for our patients. As a Preferred Chiropractic Doctor provider, we’re able to give PCD plan members 25% OFF all exams, x-rays, adjustments and therapies for a whole year! With these extraordinary savings, most patients recoup the cost of a PCD plan in only 1-2 visits!

Important Information

Chiropractors do NOT earn incentives for promoting PCD plans. Chiropractors share PCD plans because the plans help underinsured patients continue care more affordably! This plan is a discount plan NOT a health insurance policy. This plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services. This plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. The plan member is obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization. The DMPO does make available an up-to-date list of all program providers, which includes their name, city, state, and medical specialty prior to purchase, upon request. That the range of discounts for medical services provided under the plan will vary depending on the type of provider and the medical services received.
